Another depressing one.. Written around the end of 9th grade

My Internal Conflicts

Down the lane

But who's to blame?

Why must we live our lives in vain?

Cannot take the pain

I am going insane

Walking out here in the rain

You know what? I will take the blame

It was my fault anyway

To recover from that day

I know now just what to say

I will drive to your house, later today,

and tell you I was to blame

Hopefully you can take me away

From the nightmares of yesterday

But to my dismay,

my own downfalls are to blame

Just hoping you can stay,

in my arms another day

Admitting it is hard,

but, I know I was insane

My own downfalls are to blame,

but, I will show you I am okay

I know what you will say

You will not take me back today

I will leave you with,

My health wearing away

Hopefully one day,

you will realize that I have changed

But I will already have lived,

my last day

You know what? I will take the blame

It was my fault anyway

I will never recover from the day

my whole life washed away
